DASA provides sports for individuals who have a permanent physical, visual, or hearing impairment who are cognitively able to follow rules of a game without assistance and who have difficulty participating in sports with their non-disabled peers because of their physical limitations.

All new athletes must complete a “New Athlete Form” and speak with a staff member prior to registering for sports. After you’ve spoken with a staff member, you may click “Register Now” in the sidebar to see all available programs.

DASA works with athletes ages 18 months and up. Please inquire about our newest toddler programs!

Most recreation programs cost $35/session. Competitive team fees are based on the cost of facility and travel requirements. The Ability Gym cost is $40/hour & $30/hour for military personnel or veterans.

Unfortunately, insurance does not cover the cost of any of our programs.

There are some scholarships available, depending on the program. Please complete the scholarship application to be considered.

DASA is fortunate to have numerous pieces of sports equipment for athletes in our programs to use. Once an athlete excels in a sport, we encourage athletes to purchase their own equipment.

Classification provides a structure for Paralympic competition, defines who is eligible to compete in Para sport, and groups eligible athletes into sport classes according to their activity limitation. The classification systems differ by sport and are developed by the International Federations governing the sport.
