We have reopened and our fun summer programs are in full swing in our St. Louis-area locations. All athletes are welcome to join us. It’s been a tough few months so let’s get together and get moving!

If you are new to DASA you can register for any of our awesome sports or activities by going to our registration page and following our 2 simple steps. Once your new athlete form has been processed, we will be in touch personally to let you know when you may begin registration.

Summer 2020 DASA Programs

Mondays Strength & Conditioning (Virtual)

Join us for a 30-minute total body strength and high-intensity interval training workout adapted for all abilities. Be ready to sweat and work hard as our gym trainers keep you moving!

  • When: Mondays, 6:00-6:30 p.m.
  • Dates: 7/6, 7/13, 7/20, 7/27, 8/3, 8/10
  • Where: From the comfort of your own home. It’s virtual!
  • Cost: FREE!

Wednesdays Movement-Based Training (Virtual)

Our Movement-Based Training class includes exercises as well as gross motor games each week. This is a 30-minute fun workout focusing on motor skills, body awareness, and proprioceptive input. This class is open to all abilities.

  • When: Wednesdays, 6:00-6:30 p.m.
  • Dates: 7/8, 7/15, 7/22, 7/29, 8/5, 8/12
  • Where: From the comfort of your own home. It’s virtual!
  • Cost: FREE!

*If we do not have at least 5 sign up for each class, the class will be canceled.

Fit n’ Fun

Let’s get outside and play! During our Fit n’ Fun classes, we will be utilizing an outdoor park to allow us plenty of wide-open spaces and fresh air. Athletes will engage in a variety of adaptive sports and recreation opportunities. Yoga, handcycle/bike riding, adaptive fitness, and playing ball, are just a few ways we are going to have fun this Summer!

Siblings are welcome to register for these classes.

Medical-type masks will be required to be worn by each athlete and DASA team member. Proper cleaning supplies will be provided and utilized for athletes and DASA team members.

  • When: Wednesdays
  • Dates: 7/8, 7/15, 7/22, 7/29, 8/5, 8/12
  • Times: 10:00-11:00 am
  • Where: Creve Coeur Lake Park, Tremayne Shelter
  • Cost: $15 per class

*Only 7 athletes can participate in each class, and if we do not have at least 3 sign up for each class, the class will be canceled.

Bikes & Boats

Let’s get out and move! DASA will provide BIKES for all different ability levels (handcycles, tandem bikes, recumbent bikes). DASA’s BOATS (Kayaks) will also be available for use!

Families are welcome (one registration/family)! DASA Volunteers can shadow/ride with the athletes.

  • Where: Creve Couer Lake Park. Meet at the Tremayne Shelter.
  • When: 7/8, 7/15, 7/22, 7/29, 8/5, 8/12
  • Time: 6:00-7:30 p.m.
  • Cost: $15.00 each class


Serve. Set. MATCH!

WHEELCHAIR or STANDING tennis players are welcome! The game of wheelchair tennis follows the same rules as able-bodied tennis as endorsed by the International Tennis Federation, except the wheelchair tennis player is allowed two bounces of the ball. The player must return the ball before it hits the ground a third time. The wheelchair is part of the body and all applicable ITF Rules which apply to a player’s body shall apply to the wheelchair.

DASA can also help you up your game for the Paralympics!

  • Where: Chesterfield Athletic Club: Swingley Ridge Road, Chesterfield, MO
  • When: Mondays; 7/6, 7/13, 7/20, 7/27, 8/3, 8/10
  • Time: 6:30 – 7:30 p.m
  • Cost: $35.00 for entire 6 week session.

Rock Climbing Day

Adaptive Rock Climbing is an amazing sport for our athletes. At DASA, we make sure that every athlete can make it to the top! We have experienced rock climbers making sure this activity is completely safe for our athletes and volunteers.

  • Where: Upper Limits at Lackland Hill Parkway, St.Louis, MO.
  • When: Saturday, July 18th
  • Time: 10:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.
  • Cost:$20.00

Who is Eligible to Participate?

DASA works with cognitively age-appropriate individuals 5 years of age and older, including military veterans and injured first responders, living with permanent physical, visual, and hearing disabilities who have difficulty leading an independent life and participating in sports with their non-disabled peers.

DASA empowers people of all ages who have:

  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Spinal Cord Injury
  • Spina Bifida
  • Muscular Dystrophy
  • Amputation
  • Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Visual Impairment
  • Neuromuscular/Orthopedic Conditions

Please register for each event using our special registration form on this page. We need you to register, even if it’s free.

On the form, please tell us how many people/family members will be joining you. This ensures we have enough attendees to hold the events, the right equipment and staff, and that we adhere to CDC COVID-19 guidelines for the number of people gathering at one time.

We encourage all of our athletes from around St. Louis, St. Charles, and Columbia, MO, to join us for any of these events. We can’t wait to see you and inspire each other with fun, laughter, and physical movement, and get fit in the summer sun! Register now.
