If you are new to DASA you can register for any of our awesome sports or activities by going to our registration page and following our 2 simple steps. Once your new athlete form has been processed, we will be in touch personally to let you know when you may begin registration.

Session 1: 2021 Sports

Registration will open January 11th. Programs will begin the week of January 24th. Click the sports to see details.

BULL’S EYE is the name of the game! Learn the skills and technique needed to get that bull’s eye every time! Adaptive equipment available.

  • When: Sundays
  • Dates: 1/24-3/7
  • Where: The St. Louis Bow Hunters Archery Club, 301 Tecumseh St, St. Charles, MO.
  • Cost: $35

Boccia is a game of strategy and accuracy. The sport is played on a flat, smooth surface, where players must throw or roll colored balls as close as possible to a white target ball, known as the “jack.” The player, pair or team with the most balls near the jack is the winner.

  • When: Thursdays, 6:45pm-7:45pm
  • Dates: 1/28-3/11
  • Where: The DASA Box (INSIDE Mid Rivers Mall, next to the Ability Gym)
  • Cost: $35

Our Movement-Based Training class includes exercises as well as gross motor games each week. This is a 30-minute fun workout focusing on motor skills, body awareness, and proprioceptive input. This class is open to all abilities.

  • When: Wednesdays, 6:00pm-6:30 pm
  • Dates: 1/27-3/10
  • Where: From the comfort of your own home. It’s virtual!
  • Cost: $35

Adaptive Rock Climbing is an amazing sport for our athletes. At DASA, we make sure that every athlete can make it to the top! We have experienced rock climbers making sure this activity is completely safe for our athletes and volunteers.

  • When: Tuesdays, 6:00pm-7:30pm
  • Dates: 1/26-3/9
  • Where: Upper Limits in Maryland Heights, 1874 Lackland Hill Pkwy, St. Louis, MO 63146.
  • Cost: $90 for the entire session; $18/class

*Must have a minimum of 5 athletes registered.

This program is for Jr and Adult beginning & developing players, not for competition players.

Join us for a 30-minute total body strength and high-intensity interval training workout adapted for all abilities. Be ready to sweat and work hard as our gym trainers keep you moving!

  • When: Mondays, 6:00pm-6:30pm
  • Dates: 1/25-3/8
  • Where: From the comfort of your own home. It’s virtual!
  • Cost: $35

Learn to swim with one-on-one instruction. Each night will have 2 different sessions (6:00-6:45 & 6:45-7:30).

  • Monday classes are held at The Chesterfield Athletic Club, 16625 Swingley Ridge Rd. Chesterfield, MO. Dates: 1/25-3/8
  • Tuesday classes are held at The Chesterfield Athletic Club, 16625 Swingley Ridge Rd. Chesterfield, MO. Dates: 1/26-3/9

EVERYONE can practice yoga! We offer classes lying on the ground, seated on the floor, seated in a chair or wheelchair, kneeling or standing. Classes may be taken virtual or in-person: Register now and decide location later!

The game of wheelchair tennis follows the same rules as able-bodied tennis as endorsed by the International Tennis Federation, except the wheelchair tennis player is allowed two bounces of the ball. The player must return the ball before it hits the ground a third time. The wheelchair is part of the body and all applicable ITF Rules which apply to a player’s body shall apply to the wheelchair.

DASA can also help you up your game for the Paralympics!

Want to cycle & boat? We’ve got you covered! Whether you love to kayak or ride bikes, both are available for use on these hot summer days on the cool water and trails of Creve Coeur Lake. Meet at the Tremayne Shelter. These are wonderful, memorable summer days for the whole family. DASA will provide several different Adaptive Cycles to use.

  • When: Thursdays; 6:00pm-7:30pm
  • Dates: 6/3, 6/10, 7/1
  • Where: Creve Coeur Lake Park, Tremayne Shelter
  • Cost: $35/session or $10/class

Let’s get outside and play! During our Fit n’ Fun classes, we will be utilizing an outdoor park to allow us plenty of wide open spaces and fresh air! Athletes will be engaging in a variety of adaptive sports & recreation opportunities. Handcycle/bike riding, adaptive fitness & playing ball, just to name a few ways we are going to have fun this June!

Swimmers must be able to swim at least a 25 yard length of the pool independently and must be able to swim more than 10 laps in a one hour practice session of any stroke independently. Swimmers are encouraged to compete in Regional Competitions to qualify for Jr. Nationals in Colorado!

Who is Eligible to Participate?

DASA works with cognitively age-appropriate individuals 5 years of age and older, including military veterans and injured first responders, living with permanent physical, visual, and hearing disabilities who have difficulty leading an independent life and participating in sports with their non-disabled peers.
